Māori student

The Western Springs College case study explores some of the strategies and approaches the school leadership team uses to enhance Māori student achievement. Some approaches are specific to Māori, such as the strong presence and influence of the Rumaki (Māori immersion) unit. At the same time, the school uses a wide range of tools and strategies to set goals, track Māori student achievement and help all Māori students stay on course.
