He Reo Tupu, He Reo Ora

He Reo Tupu, He Reo Ora is a multimedia resource that provides opportunities for students to learn te reo Māori at primary school. It supports teachers to build capability and confidence to teach the language. It is designed to assist teachers to plan and deliver a Māori language programme in an English-medium classroom setting.

He Reo Tupu, He Reo Ora offers eight units of work covering eight broad learning contexts. The primary audience is students in years 1–6 learning te reo Māori at levels 1–2 of Te Aho Arataki Marau mō te Ako i te Reo Māori – Kura Auraki, Curriculum Guidelines for Teaching and Learning Te Reo Māori in English-medium Schools: Years 1–13.

In addition, He Reo Tupu, He Reo Ora offers extension support to students learning te reo Māori in years 1–6 at curriculum levels 3–4.
