Resource teachers of learning and behaviour (Māori)

This site sets out information that supports Resource Teachers of Learning and Behaviour (RTLBs) in their work. Their role is to support students who are experiencing barriers to their learning, and are at risk of low achievement. They also have a role in building teacher and school capability.

 The site provides information about the role of RTLBs, including:

• the Ministry’s transformation of the RTLB service (to improve the governance and management of RTLB school clusters, and achieve better alignment with other special education services)
• resources that will help RTLBs to manage school clusters
• the training and professional development of RTLBs
• RTLBs’ professional practice for example, news, resources, articles, and links to other sites
• special education.
