Me Kōrero - Let's Talk!

The Ministry of Education and education sector agencies are working together to lead the development of the next phase Ka Hikitia – Accelerating for Success 2013-2017.

Although, there have been some positive gains over the past five years, we know the education system is still not working for too many Māori learners – only around half of Māori learners are leaving school with NCEA 2 the minimum requirement for rewarding careers and further education - we have to turn this around.

An engagement document called Me Kōrero – Let’s Talk! and some questionnaires have been developed to help seek ideas and feedback from external partners.  The questionnaires seeking feedback are available on the Ministry of Education website. These can be forwarded to the communities you work with. The document Me Kōrero – Let’s Talk! supports the process.

Please take 10 minutes to more about read Me Kōrero – Let’s Talk!

Please share the whānau friendly summary of Me Kōrero – Let’s Talk! with learners, their whānau and those in your wider communities so they can find out more and provide input.
